1Account Eligibility & Claimed Usernames
To create a KnowMe account, you must meet the legal age requirements to use online services in your jurisdiction (at least 13 years old in most countries, or 16 where required by local law).
When you sign in with Google and claim a username (e.g., knowme.fyi/yourname), that handle is reserved permanently for your account. You agree not to squat on usernames or impersonate other creators, trademarks, or public figures. We reserve the right to reclaim inactive or impersonating handles.
2Prohibited Content & Community Safety
KnowMe was created to bring people closer through genuine conversations and fun friendship challenges. Using our platform to intimidate, harass, or hurt others is strictly forbidden. You agree never to submit, publish, or transmit:
- Harassment, targeted bullying, stalking, or direct threats of violence.
- Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, or sexual orientation.
- Explicit sexual material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or any content exploiting minors.
- Phishing links, malicious code, automated bot spam, or unauthorized commercial solicitation.
While question senders remain anonymous to creators, our servers maintain automated rate-limiting and salted cryptographic hashes to detect spam and abuse patterns. We actively enforce safety standards and permanently restrict bad actors.
3Content Ownership & Social Sharing Rights
Your Content: You retain complete intellectual property rights to all original text, answers, portfolio descriptions, and links you publish on KnowMe.
License to Host: By publishing an answer or public card, you grant KnowMe a non-exclusive, royalty-free worldwide license solely to store, render, and display your card on our public routes and social sharing previews (such as Instagram Story exports).
4Service Availability & Reliability
KnowMe is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we maintain a 99.9% target uptime across our global edge network so your bio links remain live 24/7, we are not liable for temporary service interruptions, network latency, or third-party platform changes.
